Welcome to the New England Division of the Marine Corps League-The League’s Corner of Success.
We are comprised of 75 granite solid detachments from which we are able to ensure that the history, tradition and commitment of the Marine Corps League is carried on by the members of the Marine Corps League.
Members have organized trips beginning with Parris Island, where the journey began for many of us, to Pensacola to California and also Hawaii. This was designed to maintain the bond with those active duty Marines who are carrying on the history of the Corps.
Marines are known for their volunteer spirit and their ability to adapt, overcome, and get the job done. The men and women of the New England Division of the Marine Corps League have demonstrated this ability time and time again through many community related activities. First and most prominent is our joint Marine Corps/Marine Corps League effort of Toys for Tots. The result of commitment by all of our participating detachments is a joy filled Christmas for those children most in need of support.
Scholarships are provided by the League on our local, department (state) and national level.
The Young Marines Program in affiliation with and supported by the Marine Corps League provides a well-developed organization to provide youths with development programs helping them to grow into productive citizens.
Marine Corps History is kept alive by the League with formal recognition of The Birthday Ball, Iwo Jima Day, and Beirut Memorial Recognition, and many local tributes.
The League also provides us the opportunity to interact with our hospitalized brothers and sisters at the many VA Hospital facilities.
Our active duty Marines have enjoyed the packages we have sent to those deployed. For those reservists serving with the 25th Marines – family days, burger burns and send offs/welcome home ceremonies-will find the League members with their red hats right there in their support.
For all our League members, you know the joy of being a member. You also know a Marine who is not a member. As a holiday gift, as a birthday present or simply as a thank you, why not pay for a year’s membership into our League? I am sure they will be grateful that you thought highly of them.
